Enterprise club Thurs at 7.15pm: community centre shares negotiation skills, values,  business model and no grants

Keith stanburyWe are delighted to announce, although short notice that we have a fabulous evening enterprise club this week:

Thursday 13th August7.15-9 pm… at Goodmayes Community Centre, Green Lane, IG3 9SE

This was the first new community centre to open for 20 years in Redbridge and started trading in December 2013.  It is being run by the Goodmayes Residents Association (GRASS) of which Keith is chair.  The Centre is a company limited by guarantee and a charity.

GRASS successfully negotiated with Swan Housing Association for the property and good/workable terms for a community centre that raises its own income from bookings, not grants.  The centre has merged its strong values about local community use with meticulous business planning.  Keith is a retired chartered accountant and so knows about running a profitable business.

Come and hear from Keith about:

As always, the enterprise club is about meeting other start-ups, hearing about yours successes,  sharing your learning needs, mutual support and networking.

Please be prepared to share a success from your business this week!  Teas, coffees and refreshments.  Open to all start-ups! 🙂

Advance notice: the next evening on-the-road enterprise club is scheduled for Wednesday 26th August (tbc)
